“Stay At Home” Orders

The novel coronavirus pandemic has caused our government on all levels to enact new laws. Former LA City Prosecutor Richard Wagner can help you if your liberties have been invaded by the State.

The Governor of California signed Executive Order N-33-20 ordering “all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence.”

The Mayor of Los Angeles issued what is called the  “Safer at Home” order.

“The authority of the State to enact these statutes is what is commonly called the police power… no rule prescribed by a State, nor any regulation adopted by a local governmental agency … shall contravene the Constitution of the United States or infringe any right granted or secured by that instrument.” Jacobson v. Massachusetts, (1905) 197 U.S. 11.

In Riverside County, barbershops and hair salons may now reopen.

The State of California has approved Orange County’s move into Stage 2.

Residents of Orange County are required to stay home. However, there have been changes to the Orange County Order. Click here for guidance on what is happening in Orange County
